Before all this, I was working in the world of e-commerce. Designing sites that were functional, yes, but creatively stifling. I craved more freedom, more beauty, more emotion.

My clients back then didn’t want bold. They wanted safe. Templates. Repeats. The same old layout, again and again.

And I was burning out.

I missed the feeling of seeing a site come together and thinking; “this is so good. This is something I’m proud of.”

Then something shifted.
